Karl passed the Certified Public Accountant exam in May of 1995 and joined a privately held Chicago company with $20m in revenue as Chief Financial Officer. He has held senior management positions with a number of companies in the technology, media, advertising and healthcare sectors, most recently serving as the CFO of Saint Jude Healthcare, a home health care company based in Des Moines.

In these roles, Karl led finance, human resources, IT and accounting teams, and served as an important strategic advisor to the business’ owners and as an essential member of their executive teams.

Karl holds a B.A. in Economics from The University of Chicago and a Masters of Accountancy from DePaul University.
